The Alaska Historical Society is seeking nominations for its Board of Directors. Board members should be passionate about Alaska’s history, dedicated to volunteering, and willing to take a leadership role in ensuring the success and growth of this non-profit organization. Board members perform many activities for the organization, including financial management, creating content for the blog and the website, reaching out to Alaska history educators, advocating for history and heritage programs, managing membership, overseeing publications, and planning the annual conference, in addition to special projects.
The AHS board meets quarterly, typically via teleconference and at the annual conference. Please direct nominations to Anjuli Grantham (anjuligrantham [at] gmail.com) by Wednesday, August 7.
