AHS board member Rachel Mason offers this note to celebrate Father’s Day!
Three generations of the Seavey family have mushed their way into Iditarod history! Mitch Seavey won in 2013, becoming the oldest Iditarod winner at 53. His son Dallas was 25 in 2012 when he was the youngest Iditarod winner. Mitch’s father Dan Seavey was one of the founders of the Iditarod.
Here’s a photo of Mitch being greeted by his happy family as he crosses the finish line in Nome.
