Anchorage Event – Thursday Lecture


The Cook Inlet Historical Society and the UAA University Honors College invites the public to “Working as a Dena’ina Anthropologist, Conducting Research with My People,” a lecture by Karen Evanoff, cultural anthropologist for Lake Clark National Park and Preserve.

Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center

The presentation will highlight Karen’s unique approach in writing the book Dena’ina Elena: A Celebration, as well as the role she and the Park Service played in developing the museum’s current exhibition, Dena’inaq’ Huch’ulyeshi: The Dena’ina Way of Living. This is a free event and open to the public.
