The Tongass Historical Museum in Ketchikan invites the public to Grown on the Rock, an exhibit about producing fresh food in the rain and steep terrain. A free opening reception will be held Friday, March 27, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Grown on the Rock digs into the history and challenges of growing produce and raising livestock in the temperate rainforest. Discover the innovations of producing fresh food and see how historic homesteaders and business shaped how and what Ketchikan eats.
The exhibition will be on display from March 27 to September 26, 2015.
